Review by Randy B. Lichtman for Readers' Favorite:

"An excellent resource guide for science experiments was developed by Stemjump, which is a student-led nonprofit organization. Stemjump Science Experiments consists of 58 experiments and is described by nine Stemjump contributors. There are interesting experiments in demonstrating principles of science in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science, and Engineering. Providing an interactive activity cements important scientific concepts and is downright fun to do while learning. The materials are available from home or easily purchased. Learning about the cell can be fun with materials such as a cupcake, Oreo, Mike and Ikes, Gummy Worms, and M&Ms (among others) in the Edible Cell Model described by Hannah Xie for instance.

All the experiments provide information on Materials, Procedures (step by step), Safety (often indicating parental supervision, hygiene, and not eating the ingredients), a list of Experiment Questions, and Background and Applications. In the Background and Applications section, there are some experiments with brief explanations while others have extremely involved explanations including full explanations of the theory behind it. Depending on the audience, some of these explanations can be complex and the parent may need to ask the child for help in understanding because sometimes the concept is part of the child’s science class. This is a sourcebook and not an easily read book from cover to cover. In the classroom, teachers can utilize science experiments to bring more fun and flavor to their classrooms. For parents, the experiments can be a fun way to learn science together. Stemjump Science Experiments by Stemjump provides a wealth of excellent experiments for home, classroom, and science fairs."
